Bridging studies are designed to compare the impact of drugs on different populations e.g. Japanese and Caucasian. It is crucial to comprehend how different races react to drugs as it allows for the distribution of approved medicines worldwide. At Richmond Pharmacology we create an environment where every element of the trial is identical for both Japanese and Caucasian volunteers. We typically manage this through conducting the trial with both Japanese and Caucasian volunteers in the same ward. However, to suit some clients, we also run the two groups separately, guaranteeing an accurate comparison by conducting the trials within exactly the same Standard Operating Procedures. This ensures that in all clinical trials, accurate results are collected and potential bias is reduced.
